The Original Series

The Original Series represents the very first Lowden range from 1976 available in a Cedar or Spruce soundboard paired with either Mahogany, Walnut, Rosewood, or Koa for the back and sides.  The model numbers indicate the pairing of the back and sides and soundboard woods.

Every model number is available in four soundbox sizes: the original  ‘O’ shape from 1976 and the later additions of the medium sized ‘F,’ concert sized ‘S,’ and most recently the parlor sized ‘Wee Lowden.’

The Original Series appointments feature a distinctive all wood rosette, combined with a range of further options available to suit practically very player, such as Cutaway, Left Hand, Fan Fret, Special Neck Widths, 12 String, 12 Fret, and premium LR Baggs Electronics.
