20,000 – Genesis

“Shortly after we celebrated our 40th anniversary, we realised that we would soon be reaching guitar number twenty thousand. To celebrate reaching this milestone I wanted to do something really special. I have called the guitar ‘Genesis’ for the beginning of things, because for number twenty thousand I wanted to go back to the beginning of things for us as Lowden Guitars. I commissioned a special inlay on the back of the guitar to depict the story of Genesis, from the big bang through to the creation of man and woman. It is like nothing I have ever seen before in inlay work. So that’s what we’ve done, we’ve created a guitar that looks spectacular and the sound of the guitar had to be everything that was possible for us to do. The whole team has collaborated together to make this guitar the very best of what we can do.”
