Austrian guitarist Thomas Leeb has been playing Lowden guitars since the mid-1990s, inspired by his friend and mentor Eric Roche. It was a joy for George to design the Thomas Leeb Signature Model, tailored to meet Thomas’s innovative and multidimensional playing style.
This guitar delivers a deep, free bass response without heaviness, paired with rich, full trebles across the neck. Its figured Walnut back and sides, Sitka Spruce soundboard, and custom Walnut scratchplate combine with the ‘O’ soundbox geometry to create a highly responsive instrument, perfect for Thomas’s mix of percussive and melodic techniques.
Thomas’s playing spans complex, percussive rhythms to lyrical melodies, and his signature model is designed to excel in this wide range. The ‘O’ body ensures bass depth and tonal complexity, while the Walnut and Spruce construction adds clarity.
