When I was a teenager my dream guitar was a 335, mainly because I loved the guitar sound from tracks like 'white room' and 'politician!'
Then recently I had the idea of designing a double cutaway semi hollow electric but not too big and, most importantly, made with a solid wood carved top plate rather than the more standard laminated designs found on other guitars.
And so after a trip away to do some design work the GL-J was born. Lighter in weight than the GL-10 due to the semi-hollow design, it is more comfortable during long gigs. The neck contour and frets are like the GL-10 and therefore has the same fast and smooth feel.
Then of course there's "that sound" - difficult to define in words but for sure it can only be the result of the semi hollow design using a solid carved wood top plate!
