Cocobolo is a prized Central American rosewood - renowned for its density and looks - sometimes very dark but most often has deep orange and black markings which darkens further with age. Because of its density and surface texture the tone is robust, warm and full of projection.
In 2004 George decided that a series of guitars similar to the original series but with a couple of upgrades would be great to offer to the players who wanted the best tuners you can get on the one hand, but also had a little more detailing in the appointments in general. So the 35 series was born.
