With our 40th anniversaries coinciding, Pierre Bensusan and Lowden thought it would be an ideal time to reminisce. What better way to do that than to re-introduce the guitar George built for Pierre in 1978!
Over the years, his original ’78 Lowden became affectionately known as his ‘Old Lady’.
Many people love the unique voice of that guitar and so here it is, minus the many years of performing and practice that Pierre gave it.

In 2004 George decided that a series of guitars similar to the original series but with a couple of upgrades would be great to offer to the players who wanted the best tuners you can get on the one hand, but also had a little more detailing in the appointments in general. So the 35 series was born.

The Lowden Jazz is fitted with an board pickup as standard. The soundbox is voiced for a really great acoustic response, and at the same time stiff enough to prevent the whole guitar from overreacting when played loud through a sound system.
