Oak
Bog oak comes from the bogs where the trees have been buried often for 5000 years or more.
The oak wood is almost petrified and almost black in colour.
It is harder than normal young oak and more suitable as a tone wood as a result. Warm woody tones - perfect for jazz and melodies.

The Lowden Jazz is fitted with an board pickup as standard. The soundbox is voiced for a really great acoustic response, and at the same time stiff enough to prevent the whole guitar from overreacting when played loud through a sound system.
